Horror fans, your holiday season is here. The month of October is a wonderful time of year if you’re into all things spooky, scary, and even vaguely Halloween-themed. Check out 2017’s scary movie marathons, Halloween episodes, spooky series, and more debuting throughout the month.

We’ll keep updating this list all month with any new announcements, so check back!


13 Nights of Halloween, Freeform
The network’s annual Halloween celebration, now in its 19th year, will feature classic holiday films (Monsters Inc., The Addams Family, Harry Potter, more), Halloween-themed episodes of ABC sitcoms (The Middle, Last Man Standing), and a full 24-hour marathon of Hocus Pocus on Halloween itself.

AMC FearFest, AMC
Running just one week this year, from Oct. 23 to 31, FearFest will include multiple airings of Halloween (and Halloween II, and Halloween H20 and Halloweens 4, 5, and 6), Leprechaun and its assorted sequels, Carrie, and more, plus newer films like Annabelle, Scream 4 and more.

Classic Horror, TCM
The classic film network is dedicating different days of the week to various Halloween-themed programming. Tuesdays are for showcasing classic horror from the 1930s to the 1960s, Fridays are for Psycho star Anthony Perkins, and Sundays are for Dracula, with five films spanning five decades, beginning with Bela Lugosi’s 1931 Dracula.

Scoobtober, Boomerang
The streaming service is holding month-long celebration of all things spooky with the Scooby-Doo gang, including Halloween-themed episodes, new original movies and more.

Sunday Bloody Sunday: Stephen King Marathon, Sundance TV
On Sunday, Oct. 29 at 6 a.m., watch a marathon of the famous horror author’s scariest adaptations, including Cujo, Firestarter, Silver Bullet, Christine, Carrie and Misery.

Sci-Fi Monday, Sundance TV
On Monday, Oct. 30 at noon, catch sci-fi classics including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Westworld and more.

Beetlejuice Marathon, Sundance TV
The fan-favorite movie will air back-to-back six times beginning at 1 p.m. on Halloween.

Expedition Unknown: Hunt for Extraterrestrials — four-part special hosted by adventurer and explorer Josh Gates exploring mankind’s eternal question: are we alone in the universe? Airs Wednesdays in October at 9 p.m. on Travel Channel, with companion aftershow

Vampires: Mysteries at the Museum — one-hour special about the vampire myth, featuring a visit to Romania to explore the inspiration for the Dracula legend; airs Thursday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. on Travel Channel

SuperMansion: Drag Me to Halloween — Thursday, Oct. 5 on Crackle

The Robot Chicken Walking Dead Special: Look Who’s Walking — Sunday, Oct. 8 at midnight on Adult Swim

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Legend of Boo-kini Bottom — Halloween-themed animated special airing Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. on Nickelodeon

The Sandman — a little girl wills a monster from her nightmares into existence; Saturday, Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. on Syfy

Lip Sync Battle Shorties Halloween Special — a Halloween-themed episode of the Nick spinoff series; airs Sunday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. on Nickelodeon

Horror at the Cecil Hotel — Monday, Oct. 16 at 10 p.m. on Investigation Discovery

1922 — based on Stephen King’s story telling of a man’s confession of his wife’s murder and his belief that she is haunting him; premieres Friday, Oct. 20 on Netflix

The Watcher in the Woods — this remake of the 1981 movie stars Anjelica Huston and airs Saturday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime

Michael Jackson’s Halloween — new one-hour animated special following two millennials who find themselves in a mysterious hotel on Halloween night, culminating in a dance finale featuring an animated Michael Jackson; airs Friday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. on CBS

The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special — an animated half-hour special based on the viral 2016 Tom Hanks skit; airs Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — the holiday classic airs Thursday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. on ABC

The Murder Castle — Saturday, Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. on Investigation Discovery

Helltown — Sunday, Oct. 29 at 10 p.m. on Destination America

Terror in the Woods: Halloween Fright Night — Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. on Destination America

Lore — podcast-turned-horror anthology series premieres Friday, Oct. 13 on Amazon

Mindhunter — serial killers are at the center of this 1979-set series about the FBI’s efforts to solve open cases; premiers Oct. 13 on Netflix

The Walking Dead — it’s war when this comic book cable hit returns Sunday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. on AMC

Stranger Things 2 — still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon, survivors in Hawkins, Indiana, are threatened by a bigger, sinister entity in the return of this ’80s-influenced sci-fi horror series; premieres Friday, Oct. 27 on Netflix

Halloween Wars — six teams with three members each — an expert pumpkin carver, a cake artist and a sugar artist — battle against each other to create impressive and edible Halloween-themed displays. Sundays at 9 p.m. on Food Network through Oct. 29

Xtreme Screams — explores rides, attractions and experiences that attract thrill-seekers around the world, from Colorado’s Terror-Dactyl, which launches riders 100 mph over Manitou Springs, to a jump off the 260-foot-high Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa. Airs Sundays at 9 and 9:30 p.m. on Travel Channel
