2018 Emmy Award Winners

Game of Thrones wins top drama series at the 70th annual TV awards program. Henry Winkler, Thandie Newton, Peter Dinklage, and Claire Foy score acting awards.

The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards were telecast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Monday on NBC. Hosted by Saturday Night Live‘s Colin Jost and Michael Che, the ceremony tackled Hollywood social issues in song and dance, featured a surprise proposal, saw veteran actor Henry Winkler receive his first Emmy, among other highlights.

In the final tally, Game Of Thrones led the series with nine awards, Saturday Night Live and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel tied with eight each, and The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story took seven awards.

HBO and Netflix tied with 23 awards each, followed by NBC with 16, FX Networks with 12, and CNN and Amazon tied at eight each.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel creator Amy Sherman-Palladino led the individual awards with four, followed, with three each, by Late Late Show host and producer James Corden and Amy Entelis, executive producer of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and United Shades Of America With W. Kamau Bell.

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were presented September 8 and 9.
