2019 Emmy Award Winners: Your Full List

Game of Thrones wins big in Drama categories as Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag pulls off an historic upset.

by | September 22, 2019 | Comments

The 71st annual Emmy Award winners were announced Sunday, September 22, starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Game of Thrones led the nominations with 32 overall nominations, the most for any program in a single season (beating NYPD Blue’s 25-year record). The HBO fantasy program, which aired its final season this year, now has the most Emmy nominations for a drama in history with 161 and the most Emmys won with 57, including 10 won during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony last weekend.  (See the Creative Arts Emmy winners here.)

While Thrones took home just two awards during the big show — for Peter Dinklage’s performance and for Outstanding Drama Series — big winners included Amazon Prime Video comedies The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Fleabag; Last Week Tonight with John OliverBarry; and Ozark.

Check out the best fashion from the red carpet — well, purple carpet actually — in our arrivals gallery.
