You won’t get to see James Cameron‘s Avatar in theaters until May of 2009, but fret not, sci-fi fans — the Internet is a magical, unending source of leaked information, and thanks to JoBlo, you can get your first look at concept art from the film!

Taking MarketSaw‘s lead, JoBlo has posted what seems to be a drawing of one of the alien species featured in Avatar — described by the site’s Dave Davis as “sexy blue bioluminescent babes with tails.” Click on the link below to see for yourself.

Avatar stars Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, and Sam Worthington in the 3-D tale of — in JoBlo‘s words — “a war veteran dispatched to a distant world, where he and others clash with indigenous humanoid lifeforms.”
