How to Make a Sequel in 3 Months

Hey, guess what they’re making a sequel to! Go ahead, guess. OK, I’ll tell you: How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Yep, a sequel, something predictably on par with Legally Blonde 2 and Miss Congeniality 2 … only we don’t yet know if the stars will be returning for H2LaGi10D2.

From The Hollywood Reporter: "Paramount Pictures has tapped scribes Keith Merryman and David A. Newman to pen "How to Lose It All," a sequel to the hit romantic comedy "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."

The film is being produced by Lynda Obst through her Paramount-based Lynda Obst Prods. banner and Christine Peters through her studio-based CFP Prods.

The original, which starred Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, became a sleeper hit for Paramount in early 2003, grossing $177 million worldwide."
