Lady Gaga blew the roof off of Houston’s NRG Stadium with her high-flying Super Bowl LI halftime show Sunday night on Fox (watch it on YouTube). Gaga may have bungee jumped onto the field in spectacular fashion, but the anti-Trump political statement prognosticators were expecting (seriously — bookies were even taking bets on what she would say) never landed.
Gaga's big political statement was to run up stairs, Donald's greatest fear. #SuperBowl

Who knew Lady Gaga would be the one to deliver us from blowhardism? Good show, subtle messaging, savvy. A hero for our times. #superbowl

Make America Gaga Again!

Gaga opened her halftime routine with an Americana medley — “America the Beautiful” and “This Land is Your Land,” along with part of the Pledge of Allegiance — and sang her hit “Born This Way,” all of which sent a message of inclusion and patriotism as opposed to the outright resistance to President Donald Trump the outspoken Hillary Clinton supporter espoused on Election Day.

At least we got to see what the Hillary Inauguration would've looked like. #LadyGagaHalfTimeShow

I'm not watching but I hear Gaga is subtweeting y'alls president with her set list.
Troll him, @LADYGAGA!

But what Lady Gaga’s show lacked in liberal fury, it more than made up for in all-out rockstar performance.

Lady Gaga…congratulations on an absolutely EPIC half time show. No surprise guests needed. You owned it all on your own. #ladygaga

Now if only Patriots fans can get get a little Gaga mojo to drag their team out of that huge halftime deficit…
Lady Gaga covered more ground on the field than the Patriots. #SuperBowl

.@LadyGaga I'll tell ya what, with hands like that I could see you as a wideout in the NFL, man. Nice catch
— Jon Gruden (@Faux_Gruden) February 6, 2017
So we're just showing that Gaga has better cardio than NFL athletes. Tom Brady wouldn't have made it through that. #SuperBowl

the only hope the patriots have now is to have Lady Gaga in glittery football pads join their team
