DANCE MOMS STAR ABBY LEE MILLER WILL PLEAD GUILTY TO BANKRUPTCY FRAUD

abby edit

Dance Moms fans recall when its star, dance instructor Abby Lee Miller pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of bankruptcy fraud last November. In a surprising twist, Miller announced she has worked out a deal with the prosecution and is now set to plead guilty on July 27, rather than go to trial. Through a statement to her lawyers, she said, “Events over the past several months have been extremely challenging for me, my family, my friends and most important, my students. Because of this I made the very difficult decision to close the door on this chapter of my life by accepting responsibility for mistakes I have made along the way.” Sources say Miller might now avoid serving up to five years in jail and paying fines totaling more than $5 million. In the complaint, she allegedly hid more than $755,000 in fees and other assets from the popular Lifetime show while filing for bankruptcy.

HBO WON’T BE REVAMPING VINYL FOR SEASON TWO. IT’S CANCELLED.

vinyl

HBO’s Vinyl premiered to disappointing ratings and mixed reviews. And even though it was picked up for a second season immediately after its first episode, HBO has just announced that the music-biz drama, produced by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese, will in fact not be returning. HBO stated that, “After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with a second season of Vinyl. Obviously, this was not an easy decision.” At the end of the first season the network replaced creator Terence Winter in hopes of salvaging Vinyl with a revamped second season, but alas it is not to be.

SUPERGIRL CASTS WONDER WOMAN AS ITS PRESIDENT

wonder woman 1

Lynda Carter, who famously brought the legendary super heroine Wonder Woman to life in the 1970s TV show, is coming to the CW in Supergirl this fall.  Carter will play the President, in what has been billed as an important recurring role on the series. This will be Carter’s first appearance on the small screen in three years… One can only hope somehow, someway, that the Golden Lasso will also find its way toward Carter’s latest journey into superhero territory. Oh, and the invisible jet too. Fingers crossed.
