This week on home video, we’ve got an Oscar-nominated drama, a Certified Fresh treat for the kids, and a new HBO comedy, plus a few acclaimed smaller films, a popular Showtime series, and an entry from the DC animated universe strictly for mature audiences. Read on for the full list.

Cameraperson (2016) 99%

Documentary cinematographer Kirsten Johnson stitched together scenes and images from her 25-year career to create this personal portrait of her life and her profession. One of Criterion’s rare contemporary releases, it comes with a look at editing the film, a roundtable conversation featuring Johnson, excerpts from film festival talks, and more.

This dramedy follows a novitiate nun as she returns home to see her war veteran brother. Special features include deleted scenes, a stitched-together reel of all the VHS home movies in the film, excerpts from director Zach Clark’s first film, and more.

Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga (nominated for a Best Actress Oscar) star in Jeff Nichols’s fact-based period drama about an interracial couple who went to court to fight for their right to marry. Trolls (2016) 76%

Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake lend their voices to this animated adventure based on the popular toys from the 1980s. The Party Edition Blu-ray comes with an interactive viewing mode, a tour of the troll village, a featurette on stop-motion animation, deleted scenes, and more.

Vice Principals: Season 1 (2016) 66%

Danny McBride and Walton Goggins star in this HBO comedy about a pair of rival high school administrators angling to be promoted after their school’s principal retires. The season 1 set comes with a blooper reel, episode commentaries, and more.

American Pastoral (2016) 22%

Ewan McGregor makes his directorial debut with this adaptation of the Philip Roth novel of the same name about man whose seemingly perfect life is thrown into disarray when his daughter becomes a political revolutionary during the Vietnam War. It comes with a commentary track featuring McGregor and a pair of making-of featurettes.

Justice League Dark (2017) 78%

Rosario Dawson and Jerry O’Connell lend their voices to this R-rated animated feature that finds DC heroes John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, and others uniting to fight a supernatural foe.
